The UP Sainik School (UPSES) has officially released the admit cards for its 2026-27 entrance exam. The admit cards are now available on the official website — UP Sainik Schools Society — and registered applicants can download them immediately.
How to Download the Admit Card
Accessing the admit card is straightforward via the dedicated portal at upsainikschool.org/entranceexam2025/public, requiring only the application number and date of birth for login.
- Visit the homepage and locate the "Admit Card 2026" or "Download Admit Card" link prominently displayed.
- Input your registration details accurately and hit submit to generate the hall ticket.
- Cross-check critical information including candidate name, photo, roll number, exam venue address, date, time, and reporting instructions before downloading the PDF.
- Print multiple copies on A4 paper and carry a government-issued photo ID like Aadhaar, voter ID, or school ID for verification at the gate.
No changes to details are possible post-release, as the correction window ended earlier, so verify everything during application. Exam centers include key locations such as Agra, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Meerut, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Lucknow, with gates closing 30 minutes prior to start time.
Exam Date & Centres
- The entrance exam is slated for 28 December 2025.
- Exams will be conducted across multiple centres in Uttar Pradesh — including Agra, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Meerut, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Lucknow.
Exam Pattern & Post-Exam Process
- The exam will be OMR-based (multiple-choice questions).
- It will consist of a single question paper covering subjects like Mathematics & Intelligence, English, and General Knowledge.
- The entrance exam lasts 2 hours 30 minutes, comprising 200 objective-type questions for 200 marks, conducted offline in English and Hindi mediums.
- Class 6: Focuses on Mathematics & Intelligence (100 marks), English (25 marks), and General Knowledge (75 marks), drawing from Class 5-level topics like arithmetic, geometry, comprehension, and current affairs.
- Class 9: Covers Mathematics (100 marks from Class 8 syllabus), English (25 marks), and General Knowledge/Intelligence (75 marks), including algebra, science basics, history, and logical reasoning.
- Negative marking applies at 0.25 per wrong answer, emphasizing accuracy over guesses. Post-exam, qualifiers proceed to e-counselling, interviews (50 marks), and medical examinations for final merit lists.
Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be shortlisted for the next stages — interview and medical examination, based on merit. Final admission will be granted only after clearing all stages, including the medical test.
Important Instructions & Verification
- After downloading the admit card, candidates must carefully check all details — name, roll number, exam centre, date & time, photograph, etc. Any discrepancy should be reported to the UP Sainik School helpline immediately
- The admit card comes in two copies — applicant’s copy and school’s office copy. The office copy must be submitted to the invigilator at the exam centre.
- Note that the application correction window has closed. So, details given earlier will stand — any mistake not rectified may lead to disqualification.
