The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the online application facility for certain Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) posts until December 15, 2025, up to 11:59 PM. This facility is available only for candidates who had already completed their online form and fee payment under Recruitment Notification 01/2025.

No fresh registrations are allowed in this reopened window, as the regular application process, which had already been extended once, closed on December 11, 2025. Existing applicants can now log in and apply for additional posts for which they newly meet the eligibility criteria in either KVS or NVS.

Massive Vacancy Opportunity

The joint recruitment campaign seeks to fill over 15,000 vacancies for a wide range of roles including:

Principals and Vice-Principals

  • Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs)
  • Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)
  • Primary Teachers (PRTs)
  • Librarians and other teaching posts

Non-teaching roles such as Assistant Section Officer, Stenographer, Lab Attendant and more.

This large-scale recruitment reflects the ongoing need to staff India’s central government schools with qualified professionals and follows earlier reporting that thousands of teaching positions in KVS and NVS remained vacant.

How to Apply

Candidates must complete their application by 11:59 PM on 15 December 2025 through the official recruitment portal. Specific steps include:

  • Log in with existing credentials on the CBSE recruitment portal.
  • Choose additional eligible posts in KVS or NVS.
  • Submit required documents and confirm the application.

Aspiring applicants are encouraged to ensure all details are accurate before submission to avoid last-minute discrepancies.

Selection Process & Exam Dates

According to the official notification, the Tier-1 computer-based examination is scheduled to be held on 10–11 January 2026. Based on the post applied for, selected candidates may also undergo:

  • Tier-2 written exams (where applicable)
  • Skill tests
  • Interviews
  • Document verification and medical examination

These stages form the standard selection procedure for central government school recruitment.
