Lateral Entry in Navodaya
Normally, students enter JNV through the Class 6 JNVST. But if seats are vacant in higher classes, eligible students can get admission through Lateral Entry Selection Test (LEST) for class 9 and class 11.
JNV Admission 2027 Eligibility: Class 9
• The student must be studying in Class 8 in 2026-27 in a government or government-recognised school.
• The student must be a bonafide resident of the district where the JNV is located and where admission is sought.
• Date of birth should be between 1 May 2012 and 31 July 2014 (both dates included).
• A student who is already in Class 9 cannot apply.
