No fresh registrations will be allowed; candidates can complete pending applications till December 30 on ctet.nic.in New Delhi | December 26, 2025 The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that it will reopen the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 application window exclusively for candidates who failed to complete their registration earlier. The special facility will remain active on the official website ctet.nic.in from 11 am on December 27 to 11:59 pm on December 30, 2025. According to CBSE, 1,61,127 CTET applications remained incomplete, prompting the Board to give candidates one last chance to finish their forms. The Board also clarified that no new registrations will be accepted during this period. In an official statement, CBSE said the decision was taken after observing that a significant number of candidates failed to convert their registrations into final submissions. “Considering the large number of incomplete applications, the Board has decided to offer a one-time opportunity for these candidates to complete the process,” the statement said. The online application process for the 21st edition of CTET originally ran from November 27 to December 18, during which 25,30,581 candidates applied. The rush was evident as 3.53 lakh applications were submitted on the second last day, and 4.14 lakh applications came in on the final day. Eligible candidates with incomplete applications must log in at ctet.nic.in and follow the steps to complete their submission: Verify and fill in personal & academic details Upload a recent photograph and signature Pay the required application fee Review all information and submit the final form Download and save the confirmation page CBSE has clearly stated that no correction window will be offered after this special chance, so candidates must check all details carefully. CTET is a national-level teacher eligibility test conducted twice a year by CBSE. It is required for teaching positions in: Kendriya Vidyalayas Navodaya Vidyalayas Centrally recognized schools Many state government and private schools The CTET 2026 exam will be conducted in 20 languages across India.
